The 21st Annual Art Car Parade rolls again on Saturday, May 10, 2008!

Art Car Weekend Schedule:

Friday, May 9
Main Street Drag
9am to 1pm
A select group of 80 Art Cars visit children in hospitals and schools to spread joy and excitement while distributing 20,000 Art Car activity books. The caravan departs from the Continental Club.

Sneak Peek 6pm to 9pm
at The Orange Show

We're closing down Munger Street for an old-school block party with an art car twist. Get your first peek at amazing new art cars for 2008. There'll be live music in the street and the annual Shop Talk art car symposium inside the monument. FREE

Saturday, May 10
Art CARtailgater! 9am to 1pm
Tailgaiting Art Car Style! Thousands of people get to Allen Parkway early to watch the vehicles line up, talk to the artists, listen to the live bands participating, and get a good long look at the amazing mobile works of art.

HOUSTON ART CAR PARADE 1pm
More than 250 amazing mobile works of art dazzle over 250,000 spectators all along Allen Parkway and one block of Bagby in Downtown.

Party on the Green: Art Car Awards Ceremony and Celebration!
Art Cars invade Houston's newest downtown destination for a rockin' after-party. See the art cars close up and cheer the winners when they're announced. Immediately following the parade, at Discovery Green - Lamar Street at Crawford. FREE
