Eyeopeners began in 1986 as an effort to provide context for The Orange Show, and to recognize the amazing unheralded artists in our midst. Each year, we re-visit the folk artists and environments that are hallmarks of Houston's singular charm. The Flower Man, Cleveland Turner, the Beer Can House of Mary and John Milkovisch, and the Orange Show will be featured as well as visits to lesser-known artists and environments.
