When the Eyeopeners project began we investigated sites like the Orange Show to learn more about and to honor the creative impulse at the core of each site. Soon, and naturally, our field of vision took in Places of Worship - some idiosyncratic, most reflections of community values and beliefs.

How better to understand a culture than to consider the choice made in constucting a place of worship? And how better to study our own city - home to more diverse cultures than any other in Texas?
