Whatta tour! The weekend was kicked off with a cocktail party hosted by Richard Gasperi and Jim
Resko. We so enjoyed seeing their incredible collection of folk art and tombstone-paved garden.
Artist Robert Tannen and Jeanne Nathan shared their collection of furniture, folk artist Willie
White's work, and of course, Robert's own work.
In their uptown mansion, Roger Ogden and Ken Barnes previewed their most impressive Southern Art
collection that is soon to be housed in its own museum.
Carol Holmes gave a heart-warming tour of her sacred backyard in Kenner.
Heart-shaped cookies accompanied David Donze's Lucille Ball collection, including bottles of
her actual red hair dye.
We also got to see Bill Fagaly's collection of self-taught, contemporary and African art in his
traditional Spanish cottage. Bill is the Assistant Curator of the New Orleans Museum of Art and
his eye was evident in the great works he has assembled. Other treats: Holt Cemetery's family-made tombstones, Alice Yelen and Dr. Kurt Gitter's world-class Asian and self-taught art
collections, Alvina and Paul Haverkamp's home, packed full of important works of folk art and
Anne Rice's one of a kind doll collection in her newly restored St. Elizabeth orphanage.
Dr. Joe Fazio's splendid surreal lakefront home was amazing! He designed it himself and has
been working with many skilled craftspeople for more than 8 years to realize his creation.
We wish him well!
