Important Information for Exhibitors

The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art is thrilled to present the first annual Orange Show Craft & Folk Art Expo on September 22-25, 2022 at the Orange Show World Headquarters in Houston, TX. We are opening this expo to artists, crafters, dealers, and retail stores throughout Texas and beyond to showcase their original works. Types of contemporary and international folk art and crafts including woodworking, weaving, paper, textiles, quilting, jewelry, furniture, beading, glass, ceramics, embroidery, home, and up-cycled fashion. BOOTH DIMENSIONS & PRICING

Standard booth dimensions for artists, galleries and dealers are 10' wide x 10' deep. A limited number of larger booths are available primarily for dealers and galleries showcasing multiple artists, for an additional fee. Please make note on your application should you be interested in a larger booth.

Booth Fees are as follows:

Standard 10'x10' single artist booth - $650

Shared 10'x10' artist booth (Two artist maximum) - $350 per artist, you must have your booth partner secured prior to submitting your application.

15'x10' dealer or gallery booth - $1,000 ($750 early bird discount if committed by May 15)

Larger dealer or gallery booths available by application and request

BOOTH SHARING

Artists may share a booth space (two maximum per booth). Please make sure to note on your application that you will be sharing a booth space and who your both partner is. Any special requests can be sent to craftexpo@orangeshow.org regarding sharing a booth space.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required in order to reserve your space during the 2022 Orange Show Craft & Folk Art Expo. Booth fees will be returned should the artist, gallery or dealer cancel sixty (60) days prior to the Expo's opening, less the deposit. Remaining balances for all booth fees must be paid in full no later than thirty (30) days prior to the Expo's opening. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, should the 2020 Orange Show Craft & Folk Art Expo be canceled due to county, city, state or federal restrictions regarding gatherings, all booth fees will be refunded less the $50 non-refundable deposit.

CHECK-IN

Exhibitors will be checked in upon arrival to the Orange Show World Headquarters. You will receive specific information in an email upon confirmation of your participation directing you to the location, date and time of your check-in. All check-in will occur on Wednesday, September 21st and Thursday, September 22nd.

CLEAN-UP

Exhibitors are responsible for removing all of their items including merchandise, displays, walls, lighting, fixtures, coverings, trash and other debris from their booth following the conclusion of the Expo between 5pm and 10pm on Sunday, September 25th. All items MUST be removed from the Expo space by 10pm on Sunday, Septemer 25th. A cleanup fee of $100 will be assessed should you not properly clean your booth space. 

CONCESSIONS 

Food trucks and beverage stations will be on-site for exhibitors and customers throughout the weekend. You are not allowed to sell food or beverages from your booth.

CREDIT CARD PROCESSING

All exhibitors are responsible for processing any credit card purchases made in their both. WiFi will be available, and you will be given the access codes at check-in. 

DIMENSIONS

Dimensions of dealer booths are as stated in your contract. Orange Show World Headquarters ceiling heights are approximately 18' tall. 

DISPLAY & RENTALS

All artists, galleries and dealers are responsible for bringing their own decorations and displays including tables, linens, shelving, decorations and more. Should you be interested in renting items from the Orange Show for use in your booth, a pricing sheet will be made available to you upon your acceptance into the Expo. Rentals will be available for you to pick up upon check-in.

ELECTRICITY

Two electrical outlets will be provided per booth. You may bring extension cords but absolutely NO POWER STRIPS. If additional electricity is required, please contact us.

HOURS OF OPERATION

You will be required to have a representative at your booth for the entirety of the public portion of the Expo.

Move-in / Setup:  Wednesday, September 21, 10am-5pm & Thursday, September 22, 10am - 3pm

VIP Preview Party: Thursday, September 22, 6 - 9pm

Craft & Folk Art Expo Day 1: Friday, September 23, 10am - 6pm

Craft & Folk Art Expo Day 2: Saturday, September 24, 10am - 6pm

Craft & Folk Art Expo Day 2: Sunday, September 25, 11am - 5pm

Move-out / Cleanup: Sunday, September 25, 5pm - 10pm

NO early breakdown or move-out is allowed.

INSURANCE & LIABILITY

Individual artists are not required to carry a general liability insurance policy, however we do recommend that you have an insurance policy to cover your merchandise and other properties. The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art is not responsible for reimbursement of any goods, including merchandise, display and decor, which is damaged, lost or stolen during the run of the show. 

LODGING & HOTELS

The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art will be announcing partner hotels with discounted room rates for the weekend of the Orange Show Craft & Folk Art Expo in the coming weeks. Please check back for this information.

PARKING

On-site parking will be available to all exhibitors in a designated space. This includes all vehicles and trailers. You will be allowed to keep your trailer on-site overnight during the Expo, and we will have 24-hour security present.

SCENT AND SOUNDS

Exhibitors whose products have an impact beyond the confines of their booth are asked to be sensitive to the impact of their products on other exhibitors and the public. NO OPEN FLAMES are allowed by order of the Fire Marshal.

SECURITY

Security, including overnight hours, will be in place starting on Wednesday, September 21 and running through the duration of the Expo. The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art accepts no responsibility for the loss or theft of art and merchandise. Please report any shoplifting or theft to the security officer on duty. 

SIGNAGE

All exhibitors will receive a booth sign to be displayed for the duration of the expo. You are welcome to bring any additional signage for display in your booth as well.

STORAGE

All boxes and packing material are required to be stored out of sight or within your vehicle or trailer. Please do not throw your own trash from unpacking within the containers provided for guests within the expo.

SUPPLIES

All exhibitors will need to bring their own bags, wrapping and packing materials for any purchases made at your booth. The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art will not provide any bags, packaging, charge slips, staplers, etc.

TABLES AND CHAIRS

No chairs or tables will be provided to exhibitors. However, you may rent tables, chairs, linens and other items for your booth from us for an additional charge. A pricing sheet will be made available to you upon your acceptance into the Expo. Rentals will be available for you to pick up upon check-in.

WALLS

All 10’x10’ booths will be piped and draped up to 8’ tall on three sides unless you’re located on an aisle corner. You are welcome to bring your own walls to go inside the booth - however placement of walls must not obstruct access to other booths, aisles, doors, or exits. 

WIFI

WiFi is available within the Expo space. You will be given the wifi network name and code upon check-in.
